Serving papers in Weston
The neighborhoods along Weston Road, Bonaventure and Indian Trace, the estate sections in the west, and the offices and medical buildings near Cleveland Clinic Florida.
Weston is at the western edge of Broward County, in the 17th Judicial Circuit, so every job here goes to one of our process servers certified in that circuit.
Almost every address is behind a community gate
Weston was built as planned communities, and most of them have a staffed guard house or a call box. Florida Statutes section 48.031(7) requires a gated residential community, including a condominium association or a cooperative, to grant a process server unannounced entry to serve a resident. Guards often phone the resident before letting anyone in; when that happens we note it, and the next attempt is planned for a different time of day.
Send the community name with the street address if you have it. Several Weston communities use similar street names, and the community name gets us to the right gate on the first trip.
Large homes and long hours away
Many Weston residents commute east for work, so homes are often empty from early morning to evening. Our first attempts here are usually early morning, evening or Saturday, inside the time your service level allows.
The closest courthouse is the West Regional Courthouse, 100 North Pine Island Road, Plantation. Circuit and county civil cases are filed at the Broward County Courthouse, 201 SE 6th Street, Fort Lauderdale. See our guide to service of process in Broward.
