Serving papers in Hollywood
Hollywood Beach, Downtown Hollywood and Young Circle, Hollywood Lakes, Emerald Hills, Hollywood Hills and the western neighborhoods.
Hollywood is in southern Broward County, which is the 17th Judicial Circuit, so every Hollywood job is assigned to one of our process servers certified in that circuit.
You order the same way as anywhere else we serve, online or by phone, with one flat price per level. Up to 4 attempts at different times of day within your level's time, with a Saturday attempt when that time includes a Saturday, and a notarized affidavit of service.
The Broadwalk is a walk, not a street
Hollywood Beach is lined by the Broadwalk, a pedestrian promenade with homes, condos and small hotels facing it. Many of those buildings take their address from streets that end at the sand, and the front door is on the Broadwalk itself, so the last part of the trip is on foot. Parking near the beach is metered and fills up, which our servers plan for before they go.
Right on the county line
Hollywood sits just north of the Miami-Dade line, with Hallandale Beach between it and Aventura. A file that says "Hollywood" can turn out to be in Hallandale, Pembroke Park, West Park or Miramar, and a few blocks can move an address into Miami-Dade County.
That matters, because a certified process server serves only in the circuit that appointed them. We check the county for every address and send the job to a server certified there: a 17th Circuit server for Broward, or our own Miami-Dade server south of the line.
Beach condos and gated communities
The towers along A1A and many western communities have front desks or guard gates. Florida Statutes section 48.031(7) requires a gated residential community, including a condominium or cooperative association, to grant entry to a process server attempting to serve a resident. Each building policy and each attempt is recorded.
Broward circuit and county civil cases are filed at the Broward County Courthouse, 201 SE 6th Street, Fort Lauderdale. Some south Broward county court matters are heard at the South Regional Courthouse in Hollywood; the Broward Clerk confirms the location for a specific case.
